Cameron Highlands Trip

From left: Yuki, Me, Zarin and Ahwei-Puncak Arabella

Last week, on July 26, 2008 is Kak Irma's bersanding day. Only Zarin, Ah Wei, Kak Jasmin, Kak Ijan, En. Akmal, Yuki and I were on this trip. Others are struggling to finish their task. They're doing their best to complete Geng and Upin & Ipin mini series. Jia You~! I bought a travel map at Tapah. It's good to have a map as a travel guide. I used to use it when I was in China. We stayed at Puncak Arabella, somewhere around Tanah Rata. I shared a room with Ahwei and Yuki. It's damn cold!

Me and Zarin were so excited to see the tea plantation.

We went to several places around Cameron. Our first stop is Cameron Bharat tea plantation. It's beautiful. But poor Ahwei, she's a bit dizzy during this trip. We bought loads of strawberries, dried strawberries, crystal jambu (this is fake!), flowers, plants, cactus, vegetables, and fried mushrooms. Nyum, nyum... Let's put some weights~!

Waa... Bouquet of Roses... I love white roses...

Me and Zarin at Cactus Point entrance...

Peace! Yuki and Ahwei at Cactus Point...

At Cactus Point. You can find thousands of cactus and plants here. I ate a freshly made strawberry ice-cream. It tastes more like sorbet ice-cream. Because it's strawberry blended with ice. That's how I got this fever... Eating ice-cream during 'winter'. Bwahaha...

Zarin's car loadded with tonnes of junkies. Thanx a lot Zarin :)

I have spend almost RM300 there! Oh my... I bought teas, sweet corns and vegetables for my family, roses for my friends, dried strawberries (my family hates strawberries) and cactus for my office mate, a purple chili plant and a silver dust plant for myself, and oh, fertilizer...

From left: Kak Ijan and her son Aiman,Yuki, Aunty,Ahwei, Me and Zarin at the back.

This is during Kak Irma's wedding day. Everything is pink! We are the first one stepped on the stage before their close relatives did. Hehehe... Anyway, congratulations to you and hubby, Kak Irma. Selamat Pengantin Baru and May Allah Bless both of you! Amin...

My Strawberry Moment

During the Cameron trip, we went to Strawberry Moment cafe. It's a unique cafe because they used strawberries as their main ingredients to make all of the yummy desserts. Here are few photos taken. Actually there's a lot of pictures, but I only placed few here. You should give it a try...

Chocolate Strawberry, besides strawberry, you can also dip anything you like in this yummy semi-sweet melt chocolate. Chocolate strawberry is not my favourite though, wonder why Datuk K and Datuk Siti love it so much??? Food of love? Nah~!

Strawberry Salad... I'm not sure how does it tastes like. It has strawberries, salads, raisins, tiny tomatoes and mayo (is that really mayo? I'm not sure).

I ordered Dark Angel. Chocolate shake (taste like Oreo), Whipped cream, semi-sweet melted chocolate and sliced strawberry.

Dusty Miller and Silver Dust

This is Dusty Miller or Silver Dust

Top view: It looks like snowflake. Don't you think so?

Have you ever heard of a plant called Silver Dust? Probably only plants freak would know it. Well, I'm not a real plant expert or anything but I do know this plant. It's really unique. This plant is covered with white woolly cotton which makes it looks like snow. I just bought it last week, during the Cameron Highlands trip. I get this kind of Christmas feeling when I take a look at it. Hehehe...

So, this is my work station. Messy isn't it? Nevermind, I'll tidy it all soon. I'm not feeling well lately, I got a fever. I place the plant at the right side of my desk. Sometimes I place it near the bedroom window, because plants need sunlight of course. When I'm free, I will 'talk' with the plant. This is some kind of therapy. Sounds insane but it works...

I don't have much info about this plant. The scientific name for this plant is Scenecio Cineraria. It is a native perennial from Mediterranean. I found this on Wikipedia.

I think that's all for now, more updates coming on soon. More about the Cameron Highlands trip and more pixes and more books! Thank you for reading...

Fables

Thanks to Ehsan for letting me to borrow these great books. Fables. Ehsan told me that he finishes all three books within one day! Wow, what a record! Unlike me, I need at least one month to finish all of these. I need to digest all of the illustration, words, bit by bit and am really slow reader...

I think I should collect all of these, too... Need to read as much as I can... Fables is a series of graphic novel, more like a twisted tale of fables characters. The storyline is freakingly awesome and I just love the storyline. Perhaps I might be a little too late to read this. But, well, better late than never~!

Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake

It's have been quite sometime I didn't post anything here. To be honest, I don't have any idea or any latest updates to post in... What kind of scriptwriter are you?? So, without hesitating any longer, let me share with you some of the old story books which I have borrowed from my colleague, Faren. Thank you so much Faren!

He gave me these books a week ago, but I haven't had time to read it because I'm reading Far Away written by Aisya Sofea (I borrowed it from my room mate, thank you Tini). Faren pinged me in YM, and we talked a bit about children books. He liked Quentin Blake illustration, then I assume that he must be big fan fan of Roald Dahl, too.

Faren lend me The Roald Dahl Diary 1996. I never seen Roald Dahl merchandise here. It's pretty rare to me. I asked Faren where did he bought it but he couldn't remember. This diary filled with all characters from Dahl's books. Illustrated by Quentin Blake.

I'm a big fan of Roald Dahl, but unfortunately, since the books are so expensive, I only borrowed it from my friends. I only have Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, and The BFG. I bought it about a year ago. Gotta collect all of the books! Quentin Blake's illustration remind me of my parents' drawing when I was young.

When I was in pre-school, ayah and mama used to draw things and they made colouring books for their children. We're not rich nor wealthy but I'm grateful with what I have now. I have to say that both of my parents were great artist. Ayah teach living skills at school, he's really good at cooking, sewing and such. I still remember a long time ago, ayah used to sew the curtain before Eid. He's really creative.

Oops! I think I nag too much... Hehehe... More updates on books coming soon. I've borrowed few great books from great people. I'll try to write as much as I can ok...
